PRAYERS FOR USE WHEN VISITING THE CEMETERY
These prayers might be used when visiting the burial place of family or friends.
Leader: Eternal God,
have mercy on all who are buried here.
(In particular, we pray for N. and N.)
Bring them into your kingdom of light and peace and let them share joy with you
and with all your saints.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
All: Amen.
Leader: Blessed are those who have died in the Lord; let them rest from their labours
for their good deeds go with them. Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord.
All: And let perpetual light shine upon them.
Leader: May they rest in peace.
All: Amen.
Leader: May their souls and the souls of all the faithful departed,
through the mercy of God, rest in peace. All: Amen
