Confirmation
Confirmation is a Sacrament of Initiation that is closely connected to Baptism and Eucharist. It completes the sacrament of baptism, brings an increase and deepening of baptismal grace and more clearly shows forth the gifts of the Holy Spirit received in baptism. At the same time, the celebration of Confirmation links us more closely to Eucharist as a way to live out being a fully initiated Catholic.
Young people in 9th - 11th Grade are invited to participate in the sacramental preparation program for Confirmation. Classes typically meet each Wednesday night throughout the school year. Christian Service Learning is done in and outside of the parish helping our youth to better understand the life of the parish and how each member is needed to carry out the mission of Jesus Christ. While in 11th Grade additional sacramental preparation classes are required prior to Confirmation.
Adults seeking Confirmation are invited to participated in the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA).
